Design Studio, Inc., specializes in corporate and social event floral décor and creative theme ideas for events including conferences, fundraisers, holiday parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, anniversary celebrations and much more. Owner and designer, Jennifer Dolan, has 20 years experience in floral design work. Jennifer’s artful designs have been recognized over the years with numerous awards. Among them are the International Special of Events Society’s (ISES) Best Table Design (2002, 2001, 2000, 1999) Best Team Event (2002, 1999) awards and nominated for Best Table Design (2003, 2004). She was also honored with ISES’s International Esprit Award 1999 for Best Table Design. Jennifer’s interest in floral décor began as a teenager while working for a small flower shop in Annapolis, Maryland. Hired as a sales clerk, she was quickly promoted as her designing talent became apparent. Since then, Jennifer has continuously worked to perfect her craft. As a novice designer, she moved to Washington and worked under some of the area’s top designers. In 1994 she competed in the Teleflora Regional Design Competition to win an apprenticeship under internationally renowned master tropical designer, Phil Rolutto, in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1998, Jennifer opened Exquisite! Floral Decorators, and nearly 8 years and one name-change later, Exquisite! Design Studio is still going strong. The Exquisite! Design Team is comprised of four designers, two event representatives, and seven warehouse personnel and onsite installers. Located just off River Road in Bethesda, the Exquisite! Studio houses its corporate office and showroom along with a large inventory of décor items including unique other supplies. Fresh flower shipments arrive at the studio daily, where designs are prepared and dispatched directly to their respective events. Jennifer and staff provide onsite set-up of event décor and return “post-event” to clear set design and retrieve props. From big-name hotels and concert halls to little-known restaurants and offices, from the 400-table fundraiser and hall of fame induction to the small family party, Exquisite! Is privileged to work with a variety of clients on various types of events. “At Exquisite!, the challenge of finding creative and unique ways to design just the right look for each event is the best part of the job,” says Jennifer. “We enjoy pulling together all the best elements to create the mood the client is going for. We get inspired and hope our designs inspire others."
